New Paradigms in Graduate Education Committee
Share |

Created in fall 2010, this committee is charged with exploring how doctoral programs across the United States and Canada can continue to deliver a high quality graduate education to a diverse student body, while responding in an agile and proactive way to the shifting professional landscapes within and beyond the academy. New Paradigms has surveyed the membership; organized field conversations, plenaries, and roundtables at the annual ASTR conference; and circulated monthly listings of useful articles and websites. Along with its research on the changing job market, the New Paradigms committee is exploring ways that ASTR can bring more focus to diversity in the field, including racial, economic, physical, and neuro-diversity.
