Hotels Near UCSD
Unfortunately, ASTR was not be able to secure a group discount rate at any hotels in San Diego or La Jolla. For those of you who are still coming to San Diego and seeking accommodations near the UCSD campus, Ewald’s Briana Baker has compiled this list of hotels, with those closest to campus at the top:

Note: In our conversations with the union, the representatives made clear that they were not calling for a national Marriott boycott. They also said that in some cases groups at striking hotels were able to move to other Marriott hotels in the same city that weren't striking; the union supported that choice fully. Many of the 23 hotels striking have already reached settlements and those strikes are over. The only hotel in San Diego on strike was the Westin. In addition, we checked to make sure none of the hotels on this list were on the Union's boycott list; they are not.
