Laurence Senelick

Laurence Senelick (Tufts University) was elected to the College of Fellows of the American Theatre. He published "Offenbach, Wagner, Nietzsche: The Polemics of Opera," New Theatre Quarterly (Feb. 2016); "Odysseus in Academe,” Theatre Survey (Sept. 2016); and a translation of Sophocles' Oedipus the King (Broadway Play Publishing).  His last two public presentations were "Musical theatre as a paradigm of translocation" in Translocating Theatre Histories, a symposium organized by the Global Theatre Histories project, Ludwig-Maximilian University, Munich (August 2016); and "‘Wake me up when Kirby dies'; or the art of dying on stage," on a curated panel, American Society for Theatre Research, Minneapolis (Nov. 2016).
