Wendy Arons, Natalya Baldyga, Michael Chemers, and Sara Figal received a three-year, $290,000 NEH "Scholarly Editions and Translations Grant" to support work on the first complete and fully annotated translation into English of Lessing's Hamburg Dramaturgy.  The text will begin to appear serially online in fall of 2012 with mediacommons.org, where both translation and annotations will be open to public peer review and commentary. A print edition of the translation, with introductory essays placing the work in its historical and intellectual context, is under contract with Routledge with a target publication date of early 2016.
