Kane Anderson

Kane Anderson, PhD Candidate at UC Santa Barbara, recently won the UCSB Humanities and Social Science Research Grant for his ongoing ethnographic research at Comic-Con International. He was also awarded the prestigious Inge Award for Comics Scholarship for his paper “V for Occupy: Transmedial Theatricality, V for Vendetta and the Occupy Movement,” which will appear in the International Journal of Comic Art later this year. He is currently completing the final revisions to his dissertation, Truth, Justice and the Performative Way! Superhero Bodies and Anxieties of Cultural Change in 21st Century America.
