The American Society for Theatre Research (ASTR) is a U.S.-based professional organization that fosters scholarship on worldwide theatre and performance, both historical and contemporary.

ASTR’s José Esteban Muñoz Tageted Research Working Sessions

ASTR’s José Esteban Muñoz Targeted Research Working Sessions is a multi-year funded project which supports, promotes, and features the production of research by and about people of color at ASTR. To commemorate and celebrate the late performance theorist José Esteban Muñoz, these working sessions aim to foster and forward intersectional work that also attends to and includes LGBTQ communities, disability communities, and scholars without institutional support. The funding will support underprivileged scholars and to finance other organized events. By building the pipelines of diverse members, we pledge to transform ASTR into an inclusive Society that is fully engaged with both minoritarian and majoritarian knowledge, and connected with underrepresented and underprivileged scholars in the world.

Any amount will help us reach our goal and all donations are tax deductible.
